My Teaching

When I think back about my students over the years, ironically, the moments of challenge and struggle stand out. The phone calls for an ear. The vulnerability in lessons that opened deep fears or feelings of doubt. And why do these memories rise above? Because these were the moments of true change. When everything came together. Every interpretive skill and each idea connected to craft was at play. But in human terms. As two people we sat inside the voice. And we removed obstacles. By facing them together. So the stage and the cellistic life became an organic extension of everything we had experienced. Creativity had an outlet. But most importantly, the heart had a space to live. To be spoken to. To be taken care of and noticed.

Lessons will run the gamut. Cello, life, you name it. But we will grow together and change will happen. I promise. Because I will always be there for you.
